Braunton Care’s management team strives to ensure we maintain excellent, skilled and professional care staff to look after you.
Our experienced and qualified team of Carers have been carefully selected, chosen and appointed personally by management.
New recruits are interviewed thoroughly are are only employed after 2 written references have been sought and also a formal Police Check (DBS) has been carried out.
Our care workers will either be qualified in or working towards an NVQ/QCF level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care. All care workers must abide by the Health and Social Care Professions – Codes of Practice.
Each one of our team members undergoes continuous training and supervision which ensures we deliver the highest quality of services to you. This training includes mandatory yearly subjects of Moving & Handling, Health & Safety, Medication Handling, Food Hygiene and of course First Aid. Dementia and Palliative Care training is also covered along with many other training courses related to specific subjects depending on Service Users needs.
We hold regular monthly staff meetings with our team to ensure good communication and feedback throughout. Supervisors carry out spot checks and regular reviews at Service Users homes to ensure all work is being carried out to the standard required. Our staff are all given the opportunity to further develop their skills and Care careers as we work closely with various training organisations such as: Essential Training, Devon Care Training, Skills For Care, Learning Curve & T2 Businesses.
We have an experienced and friendly, hard working dedicated team of Carers who all have a range of qualities and attributes – equally important is their professional ability and desire to perform well whilst working with a variety of people in different settings.
